Payton Climer

This past month, a teen in Atlanta was put into a coma. After he was playing goalie during a soccer game and kicked in the head he began to have many illnesses and then fell into a coma. The strange part about this occurance is that when he woke up he spoke fluent Spanish, which he had never done before. When he originally got out of the coma he was just speaking Spanish, but as time has gone on he has lost the fluency. This artile was written on October 24, 2016, which makes this information accurate and relevant. It was written by Doug Criss, CNN staff, so there is no biases and the information is correct. Before I read this article I had heard of occuranceses similar to this one where people wake up from comas and speak a who new language, even one that have never seen or heard. This is apparently called foreign accent syndrome, and was first recorded in 1941. This article was written to inform audience of this event and bring awareness. There isn't any persuasion or influence because there are no sides or separate opinions to this story. This article relates to an occorance where a Texan mom had jaw surgery and after found that she had a British accent. This is similar because she was diagnosed with the same thing as that teen.

  2. This is such an obscure syndrom and I had never heard about it recently. I hope the boy fully recovers.
