Utah judge rescinds order that lesbian couple can't keep foster child -Lia Kerkman 6

A Utah judge (Johansen) changes his mind about taking away a foster baby from her homosexual mothers after criticism about the decision. They were ordered to place the child in a heterosexual home within a week. Johansen based his decision on the studies made that children raised by two heterosexual parents in the same household grow up more mentally and emotionally stable. Obviously he received a lot of critical comments from people and organizations, especially the LGBT organization about being biased, discriminatory, and religious over constitutional.

I am a very opinionated person. Therefor I have very strong opinions on gay marriage as well as adoption, and foster care. I agree that as a judge you have to be extra cautious about not being biased, and while part of me does believe that he was truely trying to place the infant in the best life possible, I know that having homosexual parents doesn't affect that. Maybe for some kids it has or does, but that doesn't mean that one can assume that that is going to be the case all the time. Im glad he changed his decision or he would have to deal with the effect of that for a long time.
