Today the police have arrested an older man in Kansas City. The man was charged with domestic violence and murder, except this murder was not your average killing. The man beat his seven-year old son and then fed his body parts to the pigs his wife bought at the start of fall. Apparently the boy was dead for quite a while before most of his remains were eaten by pigs.
I'd say that this article is very relevant to us today because we seem to be having more and more cases dealing with children being captured and/or killed by their own family members. This article is most definitely important in opening up people's eyes about how even their closest family members can cause them harm. However the circumstances of this particular case reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe as it seems like it would be something he would write, only with more gory details.

It boggles my mind how the news keep surprising, and usually not in a good way. It's like these people have lists on how to do the most inhumane action possible.(Alejandra Hernandez 6th period)
