Adriana Hinojosa 8th period, Abandoned Baby Found

This past week a newborn baby was found on the streets of Los Angeles, CA under a block of asphalt. A woman who was walking by it with her sister heard the sound of crying and knew that she had to investigate. The two girls were both stunned when they saw this infant who was stone cold fighting for its life. Officers from the L.A.P.D. came to investigate. Officers and paramedics are amazed on how the baby is still alive considering it had only been born a maximum of 48 hours before. For me, all of this goes back to abortion. They still have not identified the parents in this case so I do not know the story or the motives for this occurrence but this is when I do not understand people who are pro-life. Is this life? Hours after being born you are abandoned on cold pavement near deadly chemicals? This is why we should fight for life? Sure, the baby was luckily found alive but what kind of life awaits this baby? I want to believe that this happened under circumstances in which the parents had NO choice but my brain has a really hard time coming up with such a circumstance and believing it. Let's say that hypothetically the "mother" of this child was against abortion and so then decided to keep the baby, how is this any better? You are attempting murder. I had the same reaction when I heard of the Planned Parenthood shooter. He shot up a Planned Parenthood office in order to fight for LIFE. He ended the lives of others in order to advocate for life. This world continues to confuse me.
