Cue World War III // Kai Jones 1st period

this article details the rising tension between countries around the world before and after the terrorist attacks in Paris. During the cold war, we would all be expecting a shower of nukes anytime soon. Turkey is a member of NATO and refuses to apologize for their destruction of the Russian fighter jet which was passing through turkey on its way into Syria. Turkey and Russia have a common goal which is to take down ISIS. The war in Syria is what is turning into the 21st century's world war. After President Bashar-al-Asad killed protesters in response to their cries for democracy, everything has started falling into a vortex of violence and unrest.

These events are familiar to those leading up to previous world wars and with increased mobility and communication conflicts are more easy to arise. Political unrest is thriving across the globe and things are starting to get really ugly. World War II started when Germany invaded Poland. Now it is just a question of who will invade who first? Wishing I had a fallout shelter right about now.

  1. Scary! I agree, tensions are high and still increasing and it is only a matter of time before something big (and violent) happens. Again.
