coffee a literal lifesaver? -Bethany Wolfe 3rd

summary:
New studies on coffee's benefits have revealed that drinking coffee, decaf or regular, could reduce death risk. People who drink less than a cup to 3 cups of coffee a day have a 6-8% decrease  while people who drank 3 cups and up had a 12% decrease. The cause for this is the decrease in heart disease.

analysis:
This article is very helpful to the normality of coffee in America and all over the world. Before, scientists waffled on the pros and cons of java, yet it's interesting to see this new claim in favor of an increased intake. But hey, now I have an excuse to drink even more coffee.

  1. It seems like opinions on the advantages and/or disadvantages of foods these days change like every other day. One day you here that something is bad for you and the next day it supposedly helps prevent heart disease.

  2. Some people believe that coffee is bad for you. It can go either way to be honest.

  3. Articles about the pros and cons of certain foods have very little impact on me but it is very fascinating that one food can have such an impact on one's life expectancy. I, however, am not a coffee drinker nor do I think that I will begin because of this article.

  5. I rely on coffee way too much to get me through school days. It makes me more anxious, but I believe it has positive health benefits too.

  6. I don't know... I'm with Leah on this one. It seems that these kind of articles come out every other day. I think we need to be wary of the fact that, yes, this research study did say that but it left out the fact that it also *insert negative side effect here*.
