The United States just recently released a worldwide traveling alert for Americans due to more possible terrorist attacks. The State Department released a warning stating the groups such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Boko Harem are planning more terrorist attack within the region. "Beware of immediate surroundings and avoid large crowds or crowded places. Exercise particular caution during the holiday season and at holiday festivals or events," states The State Department. This alert is only temporary and will last around 90 days if not less.
Airport security has developed tramendously since the attacks on 9/11. These developments include stricter background checks, tougher security requirements for baggage checks, screening passengers, hand inspections, increased number of air marshals, and x-ray machines for checking bags as you go through security.
This traveling alert is absolutely terrifying for me since my step-mom will be flying out on Tuesday to pick up my little brother from Colorado. It is extremely important that everybody follows the caution rules given by the State Department and stay alert.
