War Crimes

What makes murder considered a war crime and not an actual breaking the law type of crime?  According to the experts, killing civilians during an attack on an establishment that is located within the confines of a war area, they are fair game.  They are considered to be causalities of war.  The president will call and apologize to your family that,” Oops, we accidently killed your loved one while they were serving as a humanitarian in a war torn country.”  That has to be the saddest and most pathetic excuse for a country’s leader to say to a family that has lost a loved one due to their own home country going after a group of bad people.
And yet, it makes a lot of perfect sense that if you are stupid enough to go to a foreign country and help people that will most likely turn on you and if they don’t then the children that you think you are helping turn on you, then maybe your family needs to hear that pathetic excuse.  It no longer sounds pathetic or sad when we are protecting the rest of our people and our freedom.  It kind of sounds genius like to surprise the enemy and take the ones that are causing havoc across many other countries.  Bad people such as terrorist that we are dealing with today do not deserve any freedom, forgiveness, sympathy or compassion.  What they deserve is for their country leaders to go to their families and tell them that they are sorry for leading their loved ones in the wrong direction and filling their minds with garbage.  Unfortunately we know that is not the case and will not happen.  We as Americans have to defend ourselves and to heck with everyone else that does not view human life as valuable.

Analysis:

This article was written in October of 2015 and was really on the cusp of what we are currently seeing.  I really believe that the writer, Eric Niller, only wants to point out that the United States as a whole government can make a mistake and say “Oops,” but at some point the government stops taking the fall and starts placing blame on the soldiers that defend us here at home.
Anyone can be a pencil-pushing politician, but not everyone can be a soldier.  Our soldiers are on the front lines of terror and destruction.  They put their lives on the line and yet our government does not always stand behind them. They occasionally hang some out to dry.  War is literally hell on a person, and humans are prone to collapse under such pressure.
