The attacks on Paris seem to get more and more premeditated than one would expect as the details unfold. The attackers picked the common locations, studied their surveillance, rented vans, downloaded maps to their mobile phones, coordinated through text and a common "safehouse," and more.
This is frightening to me, as they were able to do all this without the slightest doubt of anyone around them. However, it also gives me hope in that this planning gives the attackers a better chance of being caught. If the attacks were spontaneous, we would never know when/ what to expect. But the planning acts as a time buffer in some cases.
This reminds me of the Quartering Act before the American Revolution. Soldiers lived among families and as a part of society, just as these terrorists were attempting to do to keep suspicion away.

I really hope these precautions being taken place will help prevent any future terrorist attacks from ISIS in the United States. Madeline Jones 4th period
