Jacqueline Patrick, 55, is trailed to a 15 year sentence behind bars in an attempt to kill her husband. She poured antifreeze in his cherry Lambrini on Christmas Day before forging a suicide of her husband , Douglas Patrick. Not only was J. Patrick accused but so was her 21 year old daughter , Katherine (facing a 3 year sentence). On the night of, Douglas felt a tad queasy or ll in the stomach, he was then rushed to the hospital. There were reports of liquids in his body system. During his visit, Jacqueline showed paramedics a "personal wish" that Douglas would prefer to perish.
This is similar to the attempted assassination of Andrew Jackson, Jan. 30,1835 on Capital Hill. NO it wasn't a false suicide, but it was the expression of wanting someone dead, planning the assassination, but it completely failing because of rough patches in the plot.

The motives big enough to make someone want to kill a relative must be so complicated; how do people feel this sort of thing is necessary? Much less follow through with it.

I agree, what would make someone kill a loved one? To me that makes no sense. -Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex
