Two men arrested for the killing of pastor's wife- Bob Cummins, Per. 6

On Monday, Larry Taylor and Jalen Watson were arrested for the murder of Amanda Blackburn, wife of pastor Davey Blackburn, during a three day crime spree, the Blackburns being the final victims.  Amanda was shot in the head after trying to attack the Taylor.  She was pregnant at the time of her death.  Her husband found her at home that afternoon, her one year old son unharmed.  Davey told the press that he would have the attitude of hope and forgiveness, though "everything inside me wants to hate."
The pastor's attitude amazes me.  Even though he would be justified for hating these men for brutally killing his wife, he chooses to love them.  This situation has happened many times, and it's sadly bound to happen again.  And the debate is endless: is it because of gun laws? culture? a combination of both?  One could connect this to the Second Amendment, giving one the right to bear arms, but these men were armed illegally, and they didn't have licenses.  It must not be hard then to find the right person who has guns to spare.

  1. What a horrible tragedy, I hope he can continue to be strong. As for the gun control (or lack thereof), I understand the saying "guns don't kill, people do" and although it's true to some extent, you can't just go handing guns out to the people who are capable of irresponsibly using those weapons for the deadly purpose they were made for. I'm not for or against guns, I just want better gun control so everyone can feel safe.
