Three teams of terrorists staged coordinated attacks at six locations throughout Paris late Friday, including a concert hall, the Stade de France and at least two restaurants. ISIS claimed responsibility for the massacres in a statement that said eight of its militants wearing explosive belts and armed with machine guns attacked selected targets across the city. It was the deadliest terrorist attack in Europe since the Madrid train bombings of 2004, in which 191 people died and over 300 wounded.
This horrific event has really opened my eyes to the threats that inevitably surround us in our everyday lives. While we cant going living in fear its naive to think that this cant happen anywhere. Such event are so tragic and unpreventable. Some countries in Africa have been in war for over 20 years. Its hard think that we would ever be directly effected by anything like this because we live in such a big country that its is protected from many horrible things. As time goes on we cant forget what happened and what it could possibly bring. Wether or not we will live to see World War 3 is unpredictable but we need to be aware that in any turn events all of our lives could be changed forever.
