Rural Texas Murders-Emily Eppig 8th

The murder of 6 campers has led to the arrest of a 33 William Hudson being charged with one count of murder. Multiple bodies were found in an Anderson county, Texas camp site. 6 members of the Anderson family were found slain following what was intended to be a fun, bonding camping trip. One camper survived but suffered minor injuries. This crime is the most severe that has ever occurred in this rural Texas town.
If you ask me, the whole thing sounds like a real life horror movie. But the charges against Hudson seem to raise some red flags. If 6 bodies were found in an unpopular campsite, all relatively close together, then why would this man only be charged with the murder of one? There may not be sufficient forensic evidence to connect him to the others, but the odds of there being two killers at the same site is unreasonable.
The court system has been notorious for guilting justice very slowly and sometimes incorrectly. Some of the most historic judicial cases have been that of court injustices and mistakes. The Dread Scott v. Stanford case and the Miranda v. Arizona ruling are just some of the examples of the flaws in the judicial branch. In order for the court system to be successful, improvements must be made in its effectiveness.
Luckily the suspect in this case is being held on high bail, which means he will probably charged with the other murders soon. But I believe that the victims' families shouldn't have to wait for legal protocols in order for this man to be brought to justice.

  1. Agreed, at least they have him on something so that when new evidence comes to light they will be bale to convict him of more.

  2. It is really scary to think that one day, you could be just living your life, and the next, you might be murdered. Like what the heck! I feel like this really should not be a problem anymore, but since still is, we need to make people who are responsible for this pay for their actions in a more timely and accurate manner. It is crazy that people who murder other people sometimes walk free. Something must change.
