France Fights Back by Mattie Whisler 9th period Flex

The country of France launched an airstrike attack on ISIS Sunday. These attacks occurred two days after the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday November 16. ISIS claimed responsibility for these attacks, France's President called these attacks "an act of war". Twelve aircrafts and ten fighter jets targeted a command center, a recruitment center, an ammunition storage base, and a training camp. Twenty bombs were dropped and all the targets were destroyed. ISIS claimed that all the targets were evacuated before the attacks and that there were no casualties. France has been planning this air strike since September with the help of the U.S.

I think that it's good that France fought back against ISIS. The attacks on Paris were devastating, even if the French airstrike didn't kill anyone at least it damaged something. These attacks relate to 9/11 here in the U.S. Then Paris supported us and now it's our turn to support them. I'm glad that the U.S. aided France in the airstrike.

  1. Hopefully, these terrible attacks will help unite the world in the fight against ISIS. It's imperative that we all be on the same page, or we won't make any progress.
