A fun family camping trip on their small amount of property became the scene of a tragic killing spree. Carl Johnson, Hannah Johnson and her son, and Thomas Kamp and his two children were all killed by William Hudson. The only survivor was Cynthia Johnson, who was Carl Johnson's wife. They were murdered in their own land and the two families' bodies were found by police later. This reminds me of the Boston Massacre because an innocent caused a small group of people to be killed. The soldiers were around the protesters for a while and ended up shooting several people who were unarmed. Hudson and the British soldiers were both considered to cause a blood bath making these peaceful days dreadful.
This is important because it reminds us that all people aren't who they seem to be. Neighbor or not, we should pay closer attention to the people that are constantly around our loved ones. Cynthia Johnson survived because she played dead which teaches us that in dangerous situations we should remain calm and not just react out of fear. Even though you are being peaceful and not causing any harm doesn't mean hateful people with do the same for you.

This is absolutely horrible. Events like these sound unreal because they are so similar to things you see in a scary movie, but the fact that this actually occurred is quite terrifying to me. I hope the murdered family gets the justice they deserve. - Sophie Kurzius 8
