The following article talks about how a high school student who was with his mom at the gas station, stood guard while a Texas deputy was pumping gas into her patrol car. At first, the officer states that she was a little defensive but in the end let him provide "backup." This all took place a week after another police officer was shot whilst, he was pumping gas. The teenager states that he was worried for her safety, thus the reason he wanted to stay with her until she was finished. When she was finished she praised him and his mother then took a selfie, which trended worldwide.
I believe that the whole situation is indeed very relevant to what is going on currently in the world. With all the hate that police officers are getting due to, a few of the officers who were out of line, it's great to see that not everyone believes that all officers are in the wrong. Although in some instances some are in the wrong, such as the George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case. I do think that not all police officers have bad intentions.

I believe you are right; not all policemen and women should be judged and treated horrendously due to the maltreatment and ferocity of others. However, it's hard not to get a bit defensive when it comes to cases like the above mentioned, due to the fact that so many families and friends have been hurting because of the inexplicable deaths of their loved ones. There are so many people in this world with terrible judgement and horrendously racist/LGBTXIA-phobic views, I just wish we could all come to a mutual understanding. But on the other hand, we are humanity.
