Summary- Republican candidate Ben Carson admits he would not support a Muslim to be President of the United States.  During "Meet the Press" Dr. Ben Carson said "I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that." Carson also said that Islam as a religion is incompatible with the Constitution. 

 

Analysis- Ben Carson saying he doesn't believe a Muslim should be President is just his opinion. Article six in the Constitution says "No religious test shall ever be required as qualification to any office." So whether or not Carson doesn't believe a Muslim should run for President, it isn't for him to decide.
