Alaska walrus deaths: criminal investigation on its way mariela lomeli

A criminal investigation has been opened in the US state of Alaska into the deaths of 25 Pacific walrus found dead last week on an isolated beach. It is feared that they were killed by poachers because the report states that the 12 pups and 13 adults - some without tusks - had been shot the study found that animals had been shot and in some case decapitated. Supposedly they cant determine their cause of death.FACT:Walrus-like animals evolved about 10 million years ago in the Pacific Ocean region.

  2. This is why a lot of animals become extinct because for what ever reason they were killed, it wasn't worth it.

  3. Why is this relevant to me? I'm glad to know walruses were slaughtered and robbed of their tusks, but who was behind this or what did the poachers benefit? - Cassidy Jones

  4. This is a huge problem, we are destroying the ecosystem and many other species could die if all of these do. Every reaction has an equal or opposite reaction and I am scared to see what this one will cause
