Apple has released new emojis that showcase different races. They have now included, Asian, Latino, and Black emojis into their keyboard. They released a few and an announcement several months earlier, but they officially included an update for apple users. Users are overjoyed and responding with positive feedback about the new update. People are saying that this is a small step to end discrimination and racism.
I think that the new emojis are cool, but they could be used for bad purposes too. Someone could use them to discriminate against another, but I know that Apple only had positive goals in mind. This is such a positive change from all the negative events that have been occurring lately, such as Ferguson and the OU racist chant. I agree that it is a small step forward to equal rights and treatment for all and hope that we can go further and make an even bigger and positive difference.
