Freddie Gray- Kennedi Mayes

Freddie Gray, the most recent publicisized victim of racial profiling was given a funeral today in Baltimore Maryland. Gray was reportedly stopped by police a little over a week ago and inappropriately handcuffed. There were reports of him claiming he couldn't breathe as well as descriptions of his handcuffing. The police had him cuffed as if he was a severe threat, when in reality, he had been doing nothing to provoke such a severe cuffing. His ankles were cuffed together and his wrists were cuffed together and attatched behind his back to his ankle cuffs. His family has reported that he died from a severe injury to his spinal chord, a crushed voice box, and a broken neck.

This is a devastating story. It is so sad to see yet another man victimized and killed for no reason. I hope just is brought and there is a way we end this oppression of black men.
