Yesterday, CNN decided to do a special on remembering the tragic movie theater shooting that occurred in Aurora on July 20, 2012. It was a special article featuring the stories of each of the seventeen victims that were gruesomely murdered that day, including reasons for why they decided to go see the movie and extra details that made the reader connect more to the victims of that day.
This tragic event reminds me of the whole Bonus Army conflict in Hoover's presidency. Many Americans at the time saw this event through the same eyes that many people today see the Aurora theater shooting. Even though the Aurora shooting was worse than the Bonus Army incident, they were both pretty big shocks to Americans.
