Jodi Arias has been given a life sentence with no possibility of parole. Arias was found guilty for the murder of her ex-boyfriend in 2008. Her boyfriend, Alexander, was found dead with multiple stabs in his body and a gunshot to his head. She was charged with first degree murder, and was charged with a life sentence. When this was done, she struggled to hold back tears when Alexander's family smiled and hugged each other and people outside cheered for justice had been served. She has requested for parole, but just this weekend, the judge has ruled that she will either received the death penalty or a life sentence without parole.
I faintly recall this trial in 2008, but I was too young to understand. I think that Arias deserves what she got. Her lawyer has tried to prove her mentally disable, and I'm not shocked if she is. To do this to someone because of relationship issues takes grossly exaggerated guts and hate, which is not something to be part of. However, Arias has created t-shirts that say SURVIVOR to donate to the cause of domestic violence and has donated her hair three times while in prison. I think that she is truly repenting right now, and strongly regretting her horrible actions.
