U.S. Couple Confess to Murdering a Woman in Indonesia - Elvira Gamboa
Tommy Schaefer, a 21-year old, confessed to murdering Sheila von Weise Mack. His 19-year old girlfriend, Heather Mack, helped him in the murder of her own mother. They had an argument where Sheila was brutally beaten and her body was wrapped up in a sheet then stuffed into a suitcase. They hailed a taxi, placed the suitcase in the truck, and left, but didn't return to actually take the taxi. The driver got out, noticed blood on the suitcase, and called the police who found the body. They found the couple about 9 miles away in a different hotel.

This is a very horrifying thing because it makes one realize how they are not always secure even in the presence of people they should trust. This action also places danger on people who were not even involved in the attack, the taxi driver, because his safety was placed at stake when the couple hailed the taxi to place the body in. Hopefully, this couple will receive the proper punishment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrifying circumstance! This is a evil display of how ethics continually are compromised today. I hope that justice is served; human life cannot be compromised without proper punishment.

This is horrifying. This does make you realize that you are not always safe around people you trust. I agree with Vivie, I hope justice is served.
ReplyDeleteThis is terrible. How could one kill his or her own mother. That is an inhumane thing to do.
