House bison sold on Craigslist, finds new home Mariela Lomeli

Karen Schoeve  posted the ad in March, reluctantly putting her beloved bison Bullet   on the market for $5,960 on craigslist. The bison weighed at 1,100 pounds. Schoeve told CNN that money wasn't a factor and that all she wanted was for someone to give her beloved pet bison some love because she couldn't take care of it.
Karen Shoeve perfectly resembles the American dream that involves owning a bison. It is the equivalent to owning a cheetah in Dubai! Too bad that she had to let that dream go as her new house was too small. Honestly, owning a bison seems like a great experience but some might argue that it is animal cruelty as the bison belongs in the wild.
Well, how does this pertain to U.S history? Well, let me tell you. Animal domesticity occurred as Native Americans learned to use horses to chase bison but then they got extinct thanks to the  U.S. government officials actively destroyed bison to defeat their Native American enemies who resisted the takeover of their lands by white settlers.

  1. It is so interesting that people today still have animals that we think were only owned by people thousands of years ago.

  2. This is so interesting! Wow! I agree this is very neat that bison were such a huge part of the earlier settlements/developments and people still own them.
