Zoe Norton-Rodriguez --- SLEEPING ON THE JOB

http://www.cnn.com/2016/05/23/us/greyhound-investigation/index.html

Sometimes people fall asleep at work, they may get scolded or fired but in this instance, lives were at stake. A greyhound bus from Cleveland to New York slammed into the back of a trailer, killing one person and injuring many others. The cause is that the driver FELL ASLEEP. Greyhound has instructions to stop every 150 miles and walk around but apparently this is not a rule but simply a guideline. This guideline isn't enforced because it costs them money.

This is similar to how in the industrial revolution, factories wouldn't enforce laws or enact safety procedures because it cost them too much money and they didn't really care about the workers. Gradually a movement was formed to enforce safety and with greyhound this wakeup call will force them to enact serious rules.
