Lil Nas X, an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Atlanta, GA, released a song titled "Old Town Road" in 2018, and it's slowly been growing more and more popular with so many people streaming the original song. The song was on the billboard hits list but was removed because it was supposedly "not country enough", but as soon as Billy Ray Cyrus hops on the beat and makes a remix with Lil Nas X, it is number 1 on the billboards hit list (very questionable motive there). This affects American culture and current news because of the popularity of this song and it's addition to American pop culture.
