Democrat Party Split - Chloe Meinershagen

https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/29/politics/bernie-sanders-joe-biden-contrasts-cnntv/index.html

Bernie Sanders contrasted himself strongly against Joe Biden, though both of them are leading the Democratic presidential pack. Sanders has repeatedly stated the differences between him and Biden. Sanders voted against NAFTA, Biden voted for it. Sanders voted against China relations, Biden voted for it. Sanders voted against War in Iraq, Biden voted for it. Biden was a supporter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, but Sanders was happy when Trump dismissed it.  While their policies differ, both candidates have their voter bases in the Midwest. Sanders may steal some of Biden's voters since he underlined his opposition to trade deals. Sanders has said he would like to everyone to not get personal, and talk about their political differences, and how we can better society of everyone, not just the 1%.

Previous to this article, I was aware of Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden, but I didn't realize how much Bernie is trying to isolate the U.S. from other countries, and focus on socialism in the domestic area of America. I personally do not think Sanders or Biden will win the next election, but who knows?
I can compare this to Jefferson and Hamilton, the founding fathers that started the original two party system: Federalists and Anti-Federalists. While Washington heeded from splitting the country into multiple parties, the strong differences in the beliefs of the two led to the ultimate creation of two parties. While Biden and Sanders are not creating two different parties, Sanders is trying to separate himself from Biden to hopefully appeal to a public group that prefers his socialism.
