On Saturday, Poway Synagogue was disturbed by a gunman open fire during a service on the last day of Passover. A 60-year-old woman was killed, a rabbi was shot in the hand, and two other people were left wounded. A 19-year-old man armed with an AR-15 stormed into Chabad of Poway synagogue yelling anti-Semitic slurs, the synagogue ws more full since it was a holiday. Lori Gilbert Kaye was shot as she prepared to say the tradtional prayer for the dead in honor of her mother. The gunman left the building after his weapon malfunctioned, and surrendered to the police a short time after. The amount of anti-Semitic shootings this year is disturbing and is poisning the world. We are living in fear to go to our places of worship and school. This has to stop now or it will only get worse.
