Sri Lanka Attacks - Siobhan Crummey

https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/21/opinions/sri-lanka-attacks-mystery-bergen/index.html

This weekend, on Easter Sunday, during the middle of Easter mass, a Sri Lankan church was bombed.
The pictures of the aftermath was horrible. The church and the art inside were destroyed.  With 290 people dead and more injured, this is one of the most deadly terrorist attacks since 9/11. Although the suspect is yet to be caught, its no doubt that if they are caught they will be punished severely. Even though motive is still unclear, its pretty obvious that it was a massive hate crime against the religious organization.

This is historical because it has more amount of people dead than any since 9/11. The audience is the masses. The importance is immeasurable because it really makes the world wonder, when will it end?

  1. These attacks on places of worship just keep getting worse. The amount of times I've heard "worst since 9/11" recently is just ridiculous. I know it's just another thing to add to the list of stuff the government needs to work on, but even the fact that there's a long list just shows that there's clearly an issue.
