Isaiah Peoples, a resident of Sunnyvale, TX attempted to run down eight pedestals on the street that he believed were muslims. Nobody was killed, and Peoples has been charged with eight accounts of attempted murder and has already been taken to court. He hasn't ben convicted of any crimes yet, and accounts of him having a type of mental illness have been discovered.
Analysis: I think that these types of crimes are very dangerous and obviously hateful. America is build on diversity and tolerance, and by targeting a specific group of people just because they are different is completely wrong and un-American. These people who commit violent hateful acts in the name of "patriotism" or standing up for "Americans" are wrong. These types of crimes are a tragedy, and the people who do these types of things should not be tolerated, even if they do have a mental illness.

ReplyDeleteIt's disgusting that people are full of so much hate based on what they believe a certain group is like. A xenophobic & Islamophobic president surely doesn't help.
