Ellie Colwill- Report: Social Security to Become Insolvent In 2035

Programs for retirement, may be in danger for the elderly generation of 2035 and possibly, forever. Social security and Medicare have warned about the financial state of the government’s retirement programs for the middle and working-class Americans. Reports state that the estimated year that Medicare will become insolvent is 2026,and they’re now saying, Social security will have the same demise. Overseers of the social security program say that the program will exceed its total income, then it will rely on its trust funds for another 15 more years.

This relates to what FDR did during his presidency. When FDR did become president, he introduced his ideas of many programs, which would help with living standards for Americans, unemployment, and retirement ideas. This idea of these programs got passed as the New Deal, and within all these new programs, there was Social Security which was established on August 14, 1935.

  2. That's sad. That's a time where our parents will be in their retirement years.
