Haley Bogdon - Grandmother Gives Birth to her own Granddaughter

A man and his husband in Nebraska are the proud parents of a healthy baby girl, after one of their mothers gave birth as a surrogate for them.  These men were married in 2015 and were shocked to learn that the doctors said that Cecile Eledge, one of their moms who was 60 years old, was fit to be their surrogate.  The doctors stated that she was only able to do this due to keeping herself in great shape and in good health due to her diet and exercise. 

I think that the medical advances that allow people to have a child even if they can't personally birth them are incredible.  I also think that the sacrifice that this 60 year old mother went through to carry a child at that age is amazing.  Hopefully many families who are not able to give birth to a child will be able to benefit from having a surrogate.
