"Bernie Sanders, at combative Fox News town hall, makes no apologies for making millions" -- Youssef Bakr

This Fox News interview hosted by anchors Brett Baier and Martha MacCallum detailed many of Bernie Sanders' views on current politics. They discussed Medicare for All, Trump's plan to move illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities (actually Sanders refused to answer that question), abortion, the ability of criminals to be able to vote from prison, and most importantly: taxes.

Sanders bluntly stated that if he becomes president, "you're going to pay more in taxes." He revealed 10 years of his tax returns, which showed that he paid a 26% effective tax rate on about $561,000 in income and made more than $1 million in both 2016 and 2017.

This relates to the very first presidential candidate TV interviews of John F. Kennedy.

  1. I'm glad he's trying to be transparent about how much money he makes, though. I don't think you should have to apologize for making millions, but I do hope he's going to share how he's planning to help others with that money.
