Jussie Smollet was attacked on January 29 in Chicago as a gay hate crime because of the role he played on Empire as Jamal Lyon. Everybody thought that was the end of the story. Apparently the attack was planned and Smollet paid the two brothers to attack him as a publicity stunt. This situation is still going on.
Analysis
Gay hate crimes are always sad to see on the news and is a serious issue in todays society and using it as a publicity stunt is just worse.
I hope that is wasnt a publicity stunt because thats sad and pathetic to play with something so serious.
