"The Kiss" dies at age 95 - Angelia Perez
The picture called "The Kiss" or "The Kissing Sailor" was one of the most famous pictures depicting the end of WWII where Japan finally surrendered. The photo shows a young sailor and nurse kissing in Time Square where everyone else was celebrating too. Greta Friedman explained how the picture showed pure celebration. Sadly George Mendonsa has passed away on Febraury17th. Although he has passed he will forever live through the work of art "The Kiss".

It’s sad that someone so special in history has passed but it’s beautiful that their legacy shall live on.
