After being fired from his position, Gary Martin brought a gun to his termination meeting, going on a shooting rampage that would kill five people and injure an additional six. Five of these people were police officers, injured in a shoot out with Martin in Aurora, Illinois. He was targeting his coworkers he had worked with for over fifteen years, storming into the warehouse, shooting at dozens of people.
This story is only another chapter in America's tragic history of gun violence spurred by a lack of regulation and awareness of the pain guns cause. This will not be the last shooting unless we get stricter gun laws.
