'Firefall' is back and glowing at Yosemite National Park by Joaquin Gandara

Yosemite is one of the most beautiful and well-known national parks in the United States, and visitors in mid-February may be treated to a spectacle not seen during any other time of the year.Millions of people from around the world flock to Yosemite Valley, California, to see granite cliffs thousands of feet tall and dazzling waterfalls. Yosemite Falls is the most popular of these waterfalls, but this week, all eyes and cameras will be focused on Horsetail Fall.Horsetail Fall flows over the eastern edge of El Capitan in Yosemite Valley. It's a small waterfall that many people don't notice, but it has gained popularity as more and more people have noticed it can glow orange during sunset in mid- to late February.

  1. I have never heard of Horsetail Fall until now! I’ll have to look up some pictures of the orange glow because I am very curious to see how that looks.
