Summary: 77 year old Brenda Hamilton was viciously attacked by an unknown animal and sadly passed away.  She was rushed to the hospital on Friday but her condition was too bad so she died on Monday. The Wild Life Commission Officers did DNA tests to see if they could track down the animal. The test ruled out most common wildlife in NC, but they were able to pick up K9 DNA . Unfortunately they do not know if it is a dog, wolf, or Coyote.

Analysis: My thoughts go out to her family. Wildlife attacks are very uncommon so it’s always a shocker hearing about them. The ones I do remember, the victim had survived. I remember watching one video of a guy right after he got bitten by a bear. The article was purely informative and didn’t contain any bias. I can relate this story to U.S History because early pioneers in the 1700 and early 1800s had to face wildlife when exploring and many died.
