Today, November 7, 2017, Texas Christian university went into lockdown due to reports of gunshots being fired on campus. A shuttle bus driver got into an argument with another bus driver and attempted to shoot at him. Luckily the bullet missed him, but the suspect did bump into his bus while making his escape. Thankfully, the lockdown was lifted by the police when the suspect was caught. No one was harmed.
I almost lost hope because I thought it was two mass shootings in two days. Something needs to be done, we can't just keep putting action off. People will keep dying. We were lucky this time but next time we won't be.

I completely agree with you. An incident like that is very scary. People need to be more aware and careful if they own a gun or if the know someone that owns a gun because guns can be used negatively and as a nation we want to keep each other safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteThese types of situations are so scary. We need to do our best to try and prevent these kinds of things from happening.

ReplyDeleteI agree that we need to take more actions. It is so fortunate that no one was harmed in this, but that is usually not the case. We often neglect situations, but this is so serious and it happens all too often.
I understand that you are worried about these issues, but I have a question for you. Would you rather be overly distrusting of everyone you know or overly trusting of everyone you know. Guns are a tool of safety and destruction, and it’s extremely difficult to find a middle ground. That’s what you have to contemplate with these sorts of things. How far do we as a people have to stray from trusting others to prevent these things from happening?
ReplyDeleteCampus security needs to be fixed. The idea that college kids are too lazy needs to be put away because things like this still happen. The safety of these young adults needs to be secured.
