Summary: Donald Trump, during an exclusive interview with Bill O'Reily on Monday, said that Mexico has got a problem with cartels. He says that if they can't get it under control maybe the U.S could send in troops to help rid Mexico of Cartels. Trump says that he has a great relationship with Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto, and that he is a nice guy. Trump also reminded O'Reily that he was still going to build the wall.
Analysis: I hope Trump remedies our relations with Mexico, and maybe this is a good sign. The cartel issue in Mexico is very bad and it needs to be controlled, and if Mexico can't fix it then maybe we can. Of course this all sounds great theoretically, but in reality it seems that we may be going in a downward spiral. With Trumps plans to look over the free trade agreement between Canada, and Mexico and his plans for a big wall, it seems he is doing more to dampen our relations than mend them.
This could be connected to The Mexican-American war with our tense relations with our neighbor country. We may not be at war with them, but it seems we are at that same tense level that they were at back in the 1800's.
All I want is good relations with any country, and hopefully one day that could happen. Now we just have to wait and see.

This is great but, I still can't believe that he is actually planning to build a wall. His foreign relations have already put a grim effects on this country.
ReplyDeleteI just hope Trump knows what he's doing and won't send us into war.
