In this article the reader is informed that Betsy DeVos is the new United States Government Education Secretary. The Vice President Pence cast the winning vote allowing her to take offic around 6 pm with the votes 51-50. I think this is a little off due to her much lacking experience in education and just overall not very qualified for the position. Before reading this I saw I few clips from her hearing, and noticed that she replied to almost every question that she had not experienced anything nor had her children experience what most people go through in education in the United States. I almost think that a college school student would be more qualified for her position then she is, because they would be currently in school and have experienced more then she has. This article was written by Tom LoBianco, Ted Barrett, and Eugene Scott, CNN, staff. The information is clearly stated allowing the reader to get what exactly happened. This relates to any other people who aren't very qualified for the position they are going to run for at least the next four years.

I completely agree, most people who come up with the education system are adults who don't remember what it's like. I have always said an educational reform should take place.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree! Like the Progressive Era that we just learned about, our schools need to be reformed. This is not found as much in our school, but in many other schools in this district, they are completely filled with poverty and corruption.
