Emily Anderson- exploring deep space

Todays CNN Student News video covered everything to do with space. Lots of countries are competing to get their equipment in space to explore. Right now, NASA is preparing to explore the deeper parts of space. This includes "the dark side of the moon" and maybe even as far as Mars. The preparation for this trip is extensive and tedious. Workers at NASA must be careful with every little thing they design. The space craft must be perfect along with the food they must eat for multiple days on end. Not to mention, if emergency strikes, they must be prepared for that as well. Another installation that must go into the space craft is exercise equipment. Believe it or not, exercise is essential for the body in space to regulate the drastic changes from the feeling of gravity to nothing. There is so much to take into account and so much to prepare for.
Of course NASA still has a long way to go before humans can explore "deep space", but at least they have a start to potential findings. This exploration is good because the last time man was on the moon was almost 50 years ago. Back then, different countries were also competing to be the first to explore the unexplored. Today that competition very much still exists especially among China and the U.S. I'm extremely curious to see what exactly they find out there. Space is vastly unexplored, so it'll be good to know more about what's out there.
