Drone Zone -Evan Daane

This year at Super Bowl LI, the halftime show was performed by pop singer Lady Gaga, who incorporated a never before seen element at the halftime show. It's been a long time tradition for the halftime performer to do an over the top explosions and lighting type show and this year was no exception. Gaga used drones to light up the sky behind her and preform aerial patterns and maneuvers which made the performance so much better.

Now I never cared much for the actual football side of the Superbowl but I've always enjoyed the halftime show and the snacks. As an advocate for drones in general, I really enjoyed this years halftime performance. Drones have had a bad reputation for the longest while and you're hard pressed to find someone without a bit of weariness towards them so to have them used so precisely and coordinated really showed the potential that drones have. It also could change the "Drones are a way for others to spy on you" mindset many Americans have. Whatever the case, it was not a bad halftime show.
