In Cologne, Germany there was a soapy misunderstanding this October dealing with street performers and bubbles. When a street performer was told that they would prefer it if he moved elsewhere to blow his bubbles (they didn't want anybody slipping on cobble or soap to get on the windows of shops), people thought that there was a ban on blowing bubbles in the city. There was a post on Face Book calling people to come and protest against this ban. In the end, officials deemed it all a misunderstanding.
This protest proves that, for the people who believed that their right to ban bubbles had been taken away, the people were willing to get out and fight back for their freedoms. They know that they deserve the freedom to express their opinion, and that they should be allowed to do simple things such as bubble blowing.

I love this current event a lot because this is a pretty funny misunderstanding for a whole city to have. I love that they were wiling to fight for their right to blow bubbles.
ReplyDeleteDid they actually end up presetting the ban or did the officials catch it before that happened?
