On November 13, Nola, one of only four Northern White Rhinos left, contracted a bacterial infection. Her arthritis, old age, and worsening condition led the San Diego Zoo Safari Park decided to put her down. On Sunday, Nola died, leaving only three Northern White Rhinos left in the world. She was welcomed into the park in 1989 and passed at age 41.
Sadly, we might live to see the extinction of these creatures. Hopefully we will be able to preserve these beautiful creatures for a while longer. This reminds me of all of the animal that used to be on this Earth but have now disappeared, whether it was our fault or not. We [humans] have hunted so many animals to near extinction and some have tipped the scale as we lose some of the creatures have been lost.

ReplyDeleteIt saddens me to see that another one of the world's beautiful species is disappearing. The effect that humans are having on the environment is hurtful; seeing our forest be chopped down, the air polluted, and species killed off is the beginning of the end
