NBC won't apologize for Donald Trump by: Eleanor E-W

Recently, Donald Trump appeared as the featured guest on Saturday Night Live. SNL received a lot of backlash from people, manly Hispanics who felt it was offensive to have a man that had said awful things about them (like that they're all rapists/drug dealers etc., I'm sure you've heard some of the things he's said) allowed to host a big television program. So far, NBC has not apologized, although apparently they didn't actually make the decision (the executive producer of SNL did). Inviting him on SNL was presumably a marketing decision, as Trump's appearance had an audience of 9.3 million--substantially more than SNL's usual numbers.
I agree with the people protesting, I don't think SNL should have had Trump on the show. Regardless of what they thought would be funny, Trump is a terrible, evil man who has said countless offensive and derogatory things, particularly about Mexicans, and though we often laugh at the things he says because they are so ridiculous he is completely serious and has a following of people who believe all those terrible things. Such a disgusting person should not be allowed to host a television program, and I think NBC should release a statement acknowledging that it was wrong to do that (even if it wasn't their decision)

  3. Well I think that its true that they should have left any kind of racial positions out of the skits, but it was meant as a joke and wasn't a malicious attempt at advertising of SNL. I HATE Trump and think he is a waste of space, money, and attention..but it was just meant as a joke. Because I know for a fact that more than half of their cast DOES NOT support Trump, it's just marketing.

  4. It's about time corporations start saying NO to political correctness. And if this "group of lawmakers" doesn't like it the go back to Mexico.

  6. It doesn't make sense to me why we repeatedly put this nefarious man in front of the cameras and continue to build his public appearance even if it is a negative one. All of this attention is just giving him the strength he needs to pursue the presidency.
