ISIS threat By: Emma Wall

http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/18/us/new-york-isis-video-threat/index.html

This article discusses how New York addressed the ISIS threats.  It basically says that New York will not be intimidated by the threats and that they will go on doing there everyday things.  They also clarify that the NYPD is alert and there is no "credible threat," as of now.

I think you can connect this to 9/11 because the entire state of New York came together during that sad time and now they are coming together to prevent further terrorists attacks.  It is almost like cause and effect.  I think that because of 9/11, we are now more aware of the power that people have to destroy others, so we take immediate precaution to issues like this.

  1. I agree with you that as a nation we are now more aware of the things happening in our country but now they just need to be stopped.

  2. I sort of disagree. In a way, people don't even pay attention anymore to what's happening in our country. No one is truly informed on the issues.

  3. Matthew Homsher 9th- It's good that New York is staying alert, but the rest of the United States has largely chosen to ignore ISIS. We need to be aware of threats like ISIS to prevent another 9/11.

  4. I don't know if I agree or not because I agree that we are more aware of these things now, but how are we going to stop them. It's like what Leah said. - Kayleigh Smerud
