Woman falsely claimed to be injured

A woman claimed she was injured from the Boston Marathon bombing that occurred in 2013. Joanna Leigh pleaded guilty to all the charges and stated she lied to acquire $40,000 from private donors and public agencies. Leigh was at a viewing party for the marathon but left before the bombing occurred. Leigh claimed to be injured when she went back to help the wounded. Her injuries included hearing loss, vision loss, traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress disorder. I can't believe someone would use the Boston Marathon bombing as a way to get money. It is truly sad and unfortunate that someone would be that greedy and steal money from donors and agencies who were trying to help the victims.
