Death at Disney by Madeline Ibarra Period 2

The attraction in Disney World Orlando, Florida, Walt Disney World Speedway, was a part of a deadly accident this past weekend. The ride "Exotic Driving Experience" gives guests the change to drive a car of their dreams down a speeding racetrack. Horror struck when 36 year old passenger Gary Terry was killed when his Lamborghini crashed into one of the rides guard rails. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lamborghini, 24 year old Tavon Watson lost control of the car but was hospitalized with only minor injuries. The company who supplies the cars for the ride apologized to those who were involved with the accident but nothing has been said about what will come next.

This is horrifying. Having a fun day at a theme park and the worst possible outcome happens. I hope that the drivers for this ride would be trained to have full control of the cars to ensure the safety of the passengers. I would not be surprised if the ride was shut down for some time for reconstruction and training to take place so that an accident like this may not be repeated. Up against the Disney company, I hope that the family of the man who was lost will be granted some form of compensation or another.
