Mark Murray looks at trends in what voters are concerned about and sees that despite many trending topics seem to loom over heads like Isis and Ebola, we are still focused on the same issues that have concerned us for generations.
It shows that our population, while it has expanded and become larger more advanced and more diverse, still struggles with the same issues and goals of creating a more perfect union.

  1. That's a very interesting observation. It's certainly not what many people would expect of voters' concerns.

  2. What issues and goals did he see in the trends? Are they possibly parallel to the "13 American Arguments" that Howard Fineman discusses in his book of political commentary? I feel like even as issues change as we move forward in time, they are all rooted in the same core arguments and American goals.

  3. That's a very interesting interpretation, I assume he's referring to certain Constitutional rights being infringed upon, or the strive for equality.
